Inspiration for photographers from theatre.

Photographers find inspiration from many sources but one theatre company production has stayed with me ever since I first saw it. Four visits later and I was still finding inspiration from a multitude of set pieces.
The production was called “The Drowned Man, a Hollywood Fable” by the specialists in immersive theatre, Punchdrunk.
The show was based in an unused old Post Office sorting building in Paddington. Set over four floors the show told the tale of various characters based in the fading glory of Hollywood’s heyday.
The size and scale of the production was enormous. The detail of the sets was astounding and the acting was wondrous. The imagery from the show will stay with me for a very long time and its rare in this world to be blown away. Just brilliant.
